JACKSON, Tenn. – In addition to celebrating the 200th birthdays of the City of Jackson and Madison County, organizers in individual communities are planning “Heritage Days” to commemorate their history.
Previous Heritage Days were held earlier this month and the next Heritage Day will take place in Mercer on Saturday, June 25.
Mercer will celebrate their Madison County Bicentennial from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mercer Fire Station in downtown Mercer. Guests will enjoy displays of pictures and memorabilia, a quilt show and activities for kids.
Enjoy a quick walk over to Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, a historic building owned by Big Black Creek Association and join a fun game of trivia and enjoy hot dogs, chips and drinks. Snow cones and popcorn will also be available.
