JACKSON, Tenn. – The Jackson-Madison County Bicentennial wants to hear from you.

From now until July 15, residents may submit ideas of items they want to include in the time capsule by emailing [email protected]. Ideas should “capture this current moment” in the city – a reflection of what is happening in our community in 2022. Residents are encouraged to be creative with ideas with thoughtfulness on the volume and durability.

The Bicentennial is scheduled to seal the time capsule on August 5 and will bury the time capsule on August 13 at 11:30 a.m. at Bicentennial Park located at 345 West Main Street. The new time capsule will be opened in 50 years in 2072.
